The Manitoba Psychiatric Association represents the psychiatrists of Manitoba and is an associate of Doctors Mantioba and the Canadian Psychiatric Association. Members are those doctors who are licensed to practice in Manitoba and are certified in psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or registered as a specialist in psychiatry by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. The association also includes members in training, and affiliate members who are professionals in other disciplines related to mental health.
We advocate for the education of the public regarding mental illness, and actively support initiatives promoting mental health and wellness. We promote and assist in the professional development of our members, members-in-training, and other health care professionals through teaching, mentoring, and hosting educational activities. We sponsor events to promote the cohesiveness of our organization and provide an opportunity to network with colleagues. We are proud members of the Manitoba community, and work to support the mental health of all those in Manitoba.
